There are a lot of Hispanic players in the NBA. In fact, many of the first round picks in the NBA drafts are Hispanics. Some of them have Summer Olympics gold medals. Some of the famous Hispanic basketball players in the NBA are from Mexico, Argentina, as well as other Latin American countries. Below is a list of the names of some of the famous Hispanic basketball players in the NBA.

Gilbert Arenas – Gilbert Arenas is a Hispanic American that begins his NBA career at the Golden State Warriors. He became a stat in NBA when he signed the free agent contract in Washington. Gilbert Arenas averaged 22.7 PPG and a three-time all start player.

Carmelo Anthony – Who will not recognize Carmelo Anthony? He is a Hispanic, but born in New York City. Carmelo is a two-time NBA All Star and won gold medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Manu Ginobli – Manu Ginobli from Argentina carried the San Antonio Spurs in 3 NBA championships. He is the one of the two Hispanic basketball players that won the NBA championship, the Euro League Championship, and the Summer Olympic gold medal.

Eduardo Najera – Najera is from Chihuahua Mexico. He has led the Oklahoma Sooners to its 4 consecutive tourney in the NCCA Championship games before being drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2000. Najera has earned his title as the sixth man basketball player for the New Jersey Nets, Denver Nuggets, and of course, the Dallas Mavericks.

Al Horford – Al Horford has made his way to the NBA All Star. He is the big man of the Atlanta Hawks. He has played 148 NBA games and in 2009-2010 seasons.

Charlie Villanueva – He is a Hispanic American playing for the Detroit Pistons. In 2005, Toronto Raptors has drafted him, but traded him for T.J. ford of the Milwaukee Bucks. In his rookie season, he is nest to Allen Iverson who is a Hispanic NBA player that scored 48 points in a single game.

Andres Nocioni – Adres Nicioni has played for the Philadelphia 76ers in 2010, but he has achieved his greatest honor while playing for the Argentina national team along with Ginobli. He has played in the Summer Olympics and won gold medal in 2004 as well as bronze medal in 2008. He has also played for the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls.

Brook Lopez – Brook Lopez has played for the New Jersey Nets in 2010. During his first two years in the Nets, he averages 15.9 PPG and 8.4 RPG in 33.7 minutes per game.

Carlos Delfino – Born in Argentina, he played as small forward for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2010. He is one of the players of the Argentina National team than won gold medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics.
