Amy Carmichael was a Christian missionary who worked in India for over 50 years. She also wrote many books accounting her time there. She went to India in 1890 for a missionary trip and decided to never leave. She focused her work on girls and young women that where saved from prostitution. She died in 1951 at the age of 83.
