Christopher McCandless was an American Hiker from El Segundo, California. He began hitchhiking in the summer of 1990, he eventually decided to travel to Alaska. He had plans to live off of the land in the wilderness. The last time he was seen alive was on April 28, 1992. His body was found in September of the same year weighing on 66 pounds.
