Katharine Hepburn was an actress from Hartford, Connecticut. She was born in 1907 and began her acting career at the theatre at Bryn Mawr College. Shen then began performing on Broadway, it was these performances that gained the attention of Hollywood. She went on to become the leading lady of Hollywood for nearly 60 years, playing roles in movies such as The African Queen, On Golden Pond, and The Philadelphia Story. She died on June 29, 203 at the age of 96.
