Stephen Chbosky is a writer of novels and screenplays and a director. His most famous work is his New York Times bestselling young adult novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. This movie was adapted into a film that he directed. He is also known for writing the screenplay for the musical Rent. He continues to write and direct.
