Harry Houdini, born Harry Weiss, was a stunt performer most famous for amazing escape acts. He went on a “Handcuff Harry” tour around Europe and challenged local police forces to keep him locked up. He branched off into ropes, chains, straitjackets, and skyscraper stunts. He died in 1926 at the age of 52.
