Lena Horne was a actress, dancer, singer, and civil rights activist from Brooklyn, New York. She began her entertainment career at 16 years old and soon moved to California where she began landing parts in movies. Some of her most known films include Stormy Weather and Cabin in the Sky. She was soon blacklisted in Hollywood due to her left wing political views. She died on May 9, 2010 at the age of 92.
